Job summary

Woolpert, a leading global architecture, engineering, and geospatial firm, seeks a Proposal Manager to lead the proposal team in developing winning submissions for water and energy utilities. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure quality and compliance, and drive capture planning and content reuse.

The role reports to the Senior Proposal Manager and involves mentoring coordinators and interns while actively participating in industry groups.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in relevant field and 5-8 years technical/AEC industry experience or 12+ years relevant AEC experience.
• Experience with water, wastewater, stormwater, sanitary sewers, and related services preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent problem-solving, time-management, organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal process from outlining solicitation documents to pursuing schedule and content development.
• Develop draft proposal documents and lead color review meetings.
• Ensure QA/QC processes are followed and participate in pre-RFP meetings.

Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Proposal Manager to join our dynamic Proposal Team. This position reports to the Senior Proposal Manager and is responsible for supporting projects concerning waterand energy utilities. Working collectively with market leaders, program directors, project managers, technical subject matter experts (SMEs), and other department resources, the proposal manager is responsible for managingthedevelopment of cohesive proposals, including maintaining schedules, organizing resources, coordinating assignments and reviews, implementing win strategy, ensuring compliance, resolving internal team issues, and providing process leadership for primepursuits.

What You Will Do:

• Lead proposal process through analyzing/outlining solicitation documents, developing pursuit schedule, coordination of technical solution/content development, andengagescreative resource support.
• Develop draft proposal documents for and lead color review meetings.
• Ensure established quality assurance/quality process is followed.
• Participate in and/or attends pursuit pre-RFP meetings.
• Maintain opportunity, project, and staff data in firm ERP database.
• Coordinate shortlist interview preparation with marketing manager and creative team.
• Coordinate technical writing assignments with subject matter leadership team.
• Perform cross-market compliant QA/QC reviews.
• Identify and support creation of reusable content.
• Research ERP data for experience, teaming, and client history to use in proposals.
• Participate in capture planning to develop proposal solutions and win themes.
• Support proposal process improvement through internal lessons learned and client debrief.
• Actively mentor proposal coordinators and interns.
• Active participation/leadership in industry trade organizations (APMP, SMPS) is a plus.

What You Will Bring:

• BA/BS in relevant field and 5-8 years technical/AEC industry experience or 12+ years relevant AEC experience.
• Previousproposal experience involving water, wastewater, stormwater,sanitary sewers, and other related services highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbaland written communication skills withabilityto work in a teamenvironment,positively influence others, and develop strong internal and external relationships.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, time-management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
• You thrive working in a fast-paced, highly driven environment and can adapt quickly to changing conditions and priorities

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Pay Range

$87,100—$108,900 USD
