About the Company

US Finance Manager

Location: Remote (ideally Salt Lake City–based)

Reporting to: CFO

About the Role

Own the finance function for a high-growth US business unit in the nutraceuticals and health nutrition sector. This newly created role combines strategic financial leadership with hands-on accounting operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and commercial agility during rapid scale-up.

Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Lead all US finance operations, including accounting, FP&A, tax, and compliance.
  • Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), ensuring accuracy and timely issuance to management.
  • Perform month-end adjustments, high-level account reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with regulatory expectations (e.g., China standards).
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports, reconcile department budgets, and address audit inquiries (monthly/quarterly/annually).

Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Monitor cash flow projections, accounts receivable, and sales forecasts weekly.
  • Process wire transfers, payments, and prepayments timely.
  • Manage bank relationships, including deposits, loan payments, and statement maintenance.

Tax & Compliance

  • Review tax liabilities, planning, and estimated payments; liaise with tax accountants and respond to IRS requests.
  • Oversee property tax schedules and payroll tax setup (via Paychex).

Systems & Process Optimization

  • Lead SAP conversion and manage Sage/SAP accounting software (post-training).
  • Optimize financial systems, implement controls, and streamline reporting processes.

Team & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Manage and develop the US finance team; coordinate with benefits providers for employee enrollments.
  • Partner with global leadership to embed finance in commercial decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Licensed CPA with 5+ years’ experience in finance/accounting (manufacturing or related sectors preferred).
  • Expertise in SAP (required); familiarity with Paychex and Sage is a plus.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and financial strategy acumen.
  • Proven ability to improve systems, controls, and reporting in high-growth environments.
  • Confident communicator with senior stakeholder management experience.
