Validation Engineer – Telematics & Connectivity

Location: Atlanta, GA

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full vehicle and telematics ECU updates (flashing, coding, activation).
• Execute E2E, FROP, regression, and exploratory tests across various vehicle models.
• Create, update, and execute test cases in STARC/JIRA.
• Analyze logs using DTS Monaco, VAM, and related diagnostic tools.
• Perform test drives, validate preconditions, and manage test environments.
• Execute smoke tests for infotainment, connectivity, powertrain, and body functions.
• Diagnose and resolve TCU/connectivity issues (flashing, connectivity, and data link issues).
• Maintain zero unknown DTCs and ensure backend service availability.
• Document hardware/software changes and track updates in JIRA.

Required Skills

• Experience in automotive domain.
• Testing experience in vehicle telematics and end‑to‑end connected services.
• Hands‑on use of diagnostic tools: DTS Monaco/DTS9, TUT, WIN SCP, VAM, Diagnostic Portal, etc.
• Experience with Jira, XRAY, or similar issue tracking tools.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to interpret vehicle release configurations.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to run tests in bench and in vehicle (stationary/driving).

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, automotive engineering, embedded systems, or equivalent technical field.
