The Opportunity
We are seeking a Product Manager for our Abbott Vascular division located in Santa Clara, CA. This is a fully onsite role.
Abbott Vascular is a global leader in the interventional cardiovascular medical device industry, providing innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective cardiovascular technologies. Our portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vascular closure devices, and peripheral stents.
The Product Manager will manage a portfolio of products for our Coronary division within Vascular.
This individual will lead downstream marketing initiatives and programs with a 360-degree execution approach, including implementation via the U.S. commercial organization, conferences, and digital media.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Manage a portfolio of products for our Coronary division within Vascular.
- Build, develop, and execute downstream product-specific marketing strategies and tactical plans to drive U.S. marketing strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with Marketing Communications to guide messaging, branding, and external communications efforts. Plan and execute multi-channel marketing programs and campaigns.
- Develop, manage, and implement sales promotional materials to support business strategy. Create sales tools such as brochures, presentations, messaging, sales aids, and other media.
- Conduct market research to understand competitive offerings and guide strategy, providing the sales force with appropriate positioning and tools to differentiate our products profitably.
- Participate in regional meetings, national sales meetings, and tradeshows to drive customer adoption. Gather insights into the customer experience through field interactions.
- Support the U.S. commercial team with product expertise, troubleshooting, and demo activities.
- Manage conference activities, create symposia presentations, and build relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Assist in product launch planning and execution, collaborating with Global Marketing, R&D, and Sales Training.
- Manage external agency relationships to develop marketing campaigns and measure their effectiveness. Assist with budget management.
- Monitor sales performance and collaborate with Commercial Excellence and Marketing Intelligence.
- Work with Demand Planning to prepare and adjust sales forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company policies.
- Maintain positive communication and collaboration across teams and with external stakeholders.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 4+ years of product management/marketing experience (or a master’s degree/MBA with 2+ years' experience)
- Experience in medical products or services management
- Strong communication, strategic planning, and market analysis skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical device industry experience strongly preferred
- Proven project management skills with multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to quickly learn technical product details

The base salary range for this position is $112,000.00 – $224,000.00. Specific location-based variations may apply.
