Summary of Position:
This position is accountable for developing work holding fixtures, CNC programs, and tool layouts to support the implementation of new equipment in a factory setting. The focus will be on converting products from manual operations to CNC automation utilizing Okuma horizontal mills.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Lead the ramp-up of new CNC equipment by creating programs and work holding fixtures.
- Identify and order new tooling for program creation or improvement; design jigs, tools, fixtures; and provide technical direction to production personnel.
- Supervise validation of new program rollouts and communicate processes effectively with engineers, quality, and production teams.
- Collaborate daily with manufacturing engineers on machining and operational challenges.
- Highlight quality issues related to CNC conversion and provide technical guidance for corrective actions and error proofing.
- Train CNC machine operators on new technologies as needed.
Nature and Scope:
- Proactively develop machine programs and collaborate to optimize results and resource use.
- Maintain high standards of professional ethics to ensure departmental integrity and quality of work.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience with proven ability in CNC programming and fixture development.
- At least 4 years supporting a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SolidWorks, Mastercam, AutoCAD, and G-code.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Two-year technical degree or relevant certification in CNC machining.
- Seven years of experience with CNC programming and fixture development.

- Experience programming Okuma horizontal machining centers.
- Union experience preferred.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
