Job description

Job Title: Machine Operator Helper I

What You'll Do:

  1. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing proper PPE.
  2. Follow Client Quality standards and systems in all work activities.
  3. Fabricate and stack parts according to drawings, routings, and work instructions.
  4. Use manufacturing information to determine necessary parts and fixtures, and obtain materials from stock areas.
  5. Perform quality checks using measuring instruments and/or templates.
  6. Operate auxiliary equipment such as conveyors, limit switches, and safety equipment.
  7. Replenish inventory in the fabrication department.
  8. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas following Client’s 5S procedures.
  9. Cross-train in various areas of the Fabrication department.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift 40 pounds repeatedly and safely team lift items exceeding that weight.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Skill in using measuring instruments and templates.
  • Ability to operate auxiliary equipment.
  • Physical capability to lift 40 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.
  • Willingness to work overtime.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous fabrication or manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of Client’s quality standards and systems.
  • Willingness to cross-train in various areas.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
