Job summary

GLOBO is seeking US-based interpreters for telephonic (TI), video (VRI), or on-site interpreting with a domestic focus in the United States.

Applicants must permanently reside in the United States and have complete fluency in English plus their mother tongue. Remote work is possible alongside travel to client sites as needed, with HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet required.

Qualifications

2+ years of documented professional interpreting experience
Complete fluency in English in addition to your mother tongue
Excellent cultural understanding and ability to clearly explain cultural concepts
Medical terminology knowledge and the ability to reference medical glossaries during interpreting
Training Program in the interpreting and/or language industry is a plus
Consent to submit a copy of your criminal background report/clearance in onboarding

Responsibilities

Represent GLOBO during on-site encounters with the clients.
Render correct concepts and meanings between the speakers, maintaining correct grammar, clarity, and tone between languages.
Follow client instructions and manage the flow of the conversation.
Answer all client calls professionally, relaying interpreter ID for every call.
Use polite forms of expression, enunciate clearly, and strive to provide excellent customer service.
Conduct intake and pre-session scripting for each client.
