An Over-the-Phone Interpreter (OPI) / Video Remote Interpreter (VRI) at Future Group Translation and Localization Services provides accurate communication between non-French and French speakers during calls. Must Have Requirements:

• Security Clearance (if not available, assistance will be provided to obtain it)
• Citizenship or Green Card

Your Responsibilities:

• Answer calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Take notes during calls as needed
• Familiarize with industry-specific vocabulary, especially healthcare and medical terminology
• Render messages accurately without omissions or additions
• Provide excellent customer service
• Facilitate communication between Limited French Proficient clients and others by accurate interpretation
• Participate in professional training and pursue certifications
• Communicate and report to team leaders
• Follow dress code for video interpreting

Background and Experience:

• Fluent in French and native in Spanish
• Over 1 year of interpretation experience in a reputable company
• Good knowledge of medical terminology
• Legal terminology knowledge is a plus
• Healthcare industry certifications are advantageous (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA)
• High school diploma in native language
• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance
• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory skills

Technical Requirements:

As this is a remote position, ensure your home office meets these technical standards:

• Dedicated high-speed internet (minimum 10 Mbps download, 3 Mbps upload)
• Wired Ethernet connection (Wi-Fi not permitted)
• Windows 10 or higher
