Job description

Quatrro Business Support Services is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage all payroll processing activities and ensure high levels of customer service and satisfaction for all Quatrro clients. The ideal candidate will have experience overseeing both US and Canadian payrolls.

This is a remote role, with preference given to candidates in the Chicago, Detroit, or Atlanta metro areas. Please note that only candidates residing in the US will be considered.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive, world-class customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Accurately input and process all relevant data (new hires, terminations, rate changes, etc.) for assigned clients to ensure timely payroll submissions.
  • Review materials for completeness and accuracy; obtain missing information as needed.
  • Collaborate with offshore shared services teams to support payroll processes and meet deadlines.
  • Provide reports, deposit checks, and other necessary information to clients after each payroll run.
  • Maintain updated process documentation for each client.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues or questions from clients and internal teams, providing timely updates.
  • Address client concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
  • Take ownership of all operations and deadlines for assigned clients.
  • Gather and process documentation for child support payments, tax levies, and garnishments.
  • Complete and file third-party payments promptly.
  • Process and file various reports, including W-2s, on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Assist in onboarding new payroll clients and set up as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of payroll processing quality for Quatrro's clients.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • At least a 2-year degree in accounting, finance, human resources management, or a related field; a 4-year degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience, including payroll tax and garnishments.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Experience with US and Canadian payroll processes and requirements.
  • Proven ability to process payroll for multiple clients and locations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and payroll systems (Paylocity experience a plus).
  • Excellent data entry, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Preferred:

  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) and/or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP).
  • Experience with Paylocity.
  • Experience processing payroll for multiple manufacturing plants across the US and Canada.
