US Accounting Manager & Plant Controller

TCCI Manufacturing is a global leader in compressor and thermal management technology for commercial, heavy-duty, and automotive specialty markets. Our global footprint spans locations across the US, China, India, Germany, UK, Ireland, Spain, and Mexico—employing more than 650 employees worldwide. TCCI recently opened a brand new Clean Energy Innovation Hub, which incorporates electric compressor manufacturing, research & development facilities and our global corporate headquarters in Decatur, Illinois.

Role Responsibilities

With the opening of our new US facility, T/CCI is looking to add an experienced US Accounting Manager & Plant Controller to lead accounting operations and plant controllership. This position will report to the Global Corporate Controller, and will be pivotal in providing leadership in shaping best practices for our accounting and controllership workstreams.

TCCI’s ideal candidate will thrive in understanding the business operations and be a leader in ensuring that our accounting processes are designed and conducted in an efficient manner that can provide a sustainable, repeatable, timely and robust framework. This leader will ensure trust and reliance in TCCI’s reporting of results and financial position.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the accounting operations and month end close process for US operating entities, Hong Kong sales entity, and other investment and holding companies. Ensure proper review of close procedures, as well as key balance sheet reconciliations to provide assurance of results.

• Lead and grow a small team in Decatur, as well as utilization of offshore resources.

• Work cross functionally between local & global functional groups, with a strong ability to communicate and build trust.

• Work closely with external auditors to execute audit requirements for legal entities within span of control. Provide leadership to ensure understanding and sign-off by auditors on TCCI accounting practice.

• Monitor accounting practices and procedures to ensure GAAP compliance.

• Consider Internal control procedures in accounting operations; Support periodic internal control testing and review as required.

• Provide functional leadership for Accounting related process improvement and systems implementation initiatives. Search out ways to create efficiencies and quality outcomes related to accounting processes. Have proficiency in creating robust documentation.

• Support Global Corporate Controller, CFO and other Leadership team members with special initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

· 5-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and controls.

· A track record of people management experience in accounting or finance disciplines.

· Demonstratable experience with ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

· Understanding and experience in manufacturing companies will be advantageous.

· Exposure to international business environments is strongly regarded.

· Experience in public accounting or large corporate environments is strongly regarded.

· Uncompromised integrity, quality focused, strong attention to detail.

Education

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance

· CPA certification highly regarded

Compensation and Benefits: The salary range for this role is $115,000-$135,000, and is eligible for the Company's full benefits package, 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, and Company paid holidays
