Job summary

City of Hope is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our growing Urology and Urogynecology team at Lennar and SeaCliff locations in California. The PA will provide comprehensive patient care in collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care and a positive patient experience.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an accredited PA program with a master's degree, hold a California PA license, and have BLS and ACLS certifications, plus a DEA license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a master’s degree.
• New graduates are welcome to apply.
• Current California Physician Assistant License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification required.
• Must have a current DEA license.
• Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary, secondary, and in some cases tertiary care within scope of practice and policies.
• Perform histories, physical exams, order and interpret tests, and furnish drugs and devices as appropriate.
• Document consultations and new patient notes.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests including labs and imaging.
• Develop and evaluate the care plan with coordination from supervising physician.
• Perform routine procedures and, for simple follow-ups, manage patients independently.
• Interpret imaging and communicate changes with the attending physician.
• Prescribe and counsel on narcotic safety.
• Review treatment plans with patients and families.
