City of Hope in Irvine, CA seeks a Physician Assistant to join our Urology and Urogynecology team. You will provide comprehensive patient-centered care under supervision, performing histories, examinations, testing, and treatment planning across the care continuum.

You will work with physicians, nurses, and staff to ensure high-quality care and an exceptional patient experience. California PA licensure, BLS/ACLS, and DEA are required; oncology experience is preferred, new graduates welcome.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a master's degree.
• Current California Physician Assistant License.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• Must have a current DEA.
• Oncology experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide primary, secondary, and tertiary care within scope of practice and policies.
• Take histories, perform physical examinations, order and interpret tests and therapies.
• Furnish drugs and devices in a cost-efficient manner.
• Document consultations and new patient notes.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Develop and evaluate care plans with supervising physician.
• Independently manage simple follow-up cases and imaging when appropriate.
• Interpret imaging and communicate changes to attending physician.
• Prescribe and counsel on narcotic use safety.
• Demonstrate pharmacologic knowledge of indications, contraindications, and adverse effects.
• Review treatment plans with patients and families.
