Job summary

Albany Medical College seeks a full-time Physician Assistant to join its general urology practice. You will evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of urologic conditions in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

The role features a Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), with potential four 10-hour days after onboarding, and duties including in-office injections, patient education, and care coordination with attending physicians.

Qualifications

• Licensed and active NYS Physician Assistant license.
• Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records; Epic experience a plus.
• Collaborate effectively across departments to ensure patient-centered care.
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with general urologic conditions.
• See scheduled and same-day urgent add-ons (hematuria, UTIs, elevated PSA, kidney stones).
• Perform in-office procedures, including testosterone and Eligard injections.
• Educate patients, conduct follow-ups, and manage medications.
• Collaborate with attending urologists, nursing staff, and administrative support.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and labs.
• Document encounters and treatment plans in the electronic health record.
• Participate in quality improvement and practice efficiency initiatives.
