Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Surgical Specialty-Operative to provide direct patient care across multiple surgical disciplines in a demanding hospital setting.

Responsibilities include pre- and post-operative assessment, orders and interpretation of tests, development of treatment plans, and collaboration with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Licensure, NCCPA certification, and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Education: Grad of an Accredited Program.
• Experience: 1 year minimum.
• Licensure: Texas PA license, NCCPA certification, BLS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with exams and histories.
• Order, obtain, and interpret labs and tests.
• Prescribe medications and perform procedures within scope.
• Develop treatment plans and coordinate with physicians.
• Counsel patients on medications, nutrition, and health.
• Maintain and document patient records; coordinate perioperative care.
• Provide perioperative management in inpatient/outpatient/OR settings.
