• Must be Board Certified/Eligible and have an active PA license.
• Fellowship training is preferred for this urology position.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care in urology, including outpatient and inpatient rounds.
• Perform necessary procedures such as Ureteroscopy and TRUS biopsies.

Job description

Locums - Johnstown, Pennsylvania, Urology Opening (IMLC Accepted)

Clinical Role:

Ongoing needs beginning mid-February 2025

Clinic and shared call

Office Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm. One day a week will be the assigned OR day starting at 7am

Coverage includes Clinic (approximately 15-20) and rounding on patients (approximately 2-4 inpatients)

Responding to consults in a timely manner (average of 5-7)

Current # of Physicians & Support Staff

• 2 physicians, two physician assistants, one nurse practitioner, one practice manager, one RN, four clinicians, two surgical schedulers, five front office staff

Volume

• Approximately 15% IP and 85% OP

Procedures as necessary to include but not limited to:

• General urology - Adult - required

• 40% adult
• 60% geriatric
• 0% pediatric

Skills:

• Destoning - required
• Percutaneous nephrolithotomy - preferred
• Ureteroscopy - required
• Radical cystectomy with ileo-loop conduit - preferred
• Radical prostatectomy - preferred
• TRUS biopsies - required
• Fertility work up - preferred
• Incontinence procedures - required
• Holmium Laser certification - required

Qualifications:

• Board Certified/Board Eligible - Required
• Active PA License - Required or IMLC Accepted
• Fellowship Preferred

Additional Requirements:

• Trauma Level I
• EMR: Epic
