Lee Health's LPG Neurology is looking for a full-time physician, board eligible/board certified in neurology, fellowship trained in movement disorders, to develop our tremor program in collaboration with our recently hired functional neurosurgeon. Initially, the role involves general neurology, but the ultimate focus will be on 100% movement disorders. The practice offers outpatient clinics at Plantation near Gulf Coast Medical Center and works closely with the Neurohospitalist program to provide high-quality community care. Candidates will be expected to perform bread-and-butter neurology initially.
Gulf Coast Medical Center is a 624-bed acute care hospital located in Fort Myers, FL. It features the Neuroscience Institute, orthopedic services, general surgery, and a dedicated neuroscience ICU. The hospital is a certified Comprehensive Stroke Center with 24/7 emergency care and minimally invasive stroke treatments. It also has two Primary Stroke Centers at Cape Coral Hospital and Lee Memorial Hospital.
Lee Health also operates Lee Memorial Hospital, a 362-bed Level II Trauma Center, serving Lee County and nearby regions. It includes a Rehabilitation Hospital and has been serving the community for over 100 years.
Fort Myers offers year-round warm weather, outdoor activities like boating, golf, fishing, and scenic walking trails. The area boasts diverse restaurants, shopping, arts, history, and festivals. The nearby Fort Myers International Airport provides numerous direct flights, and the Key West Express offers a 3-hour boat ride to Key West.
