Job description

Hospital is in search of a Full-Time or Part-Time Physician (MD/DO) for a Locum Tenens position due to staff retirement.

Start Date and Duration

Provider to start on 07/07/2025 through the end of the year.

Shift Details

1. Schedule typically includes 2 days in the Clinic and 2 days in the Operating Room for procedures, with rounding included.
2. Clinic is onsite at a location 1 mile from the hospital, with patient visits and procedures as needed.
3. Procedures include Stone Treatment and Removal, Cystoscopy, Biopsy (Prostate), TUNA, Robotics, Vasectomies, Ureteroscopies, and TURP.
4. After clinic/surgery, call is part of the position, but only for emergencies. Weekend call is included.
5. Cannot accept Call Only or Weekend Only availability.
6. Preferred schedule is 2 weeks per month, with consideration for 1 week per month for consistent coverage.

Experience Requirements

Experience in general urology treatments, diagnosis, and procedures, including stone treatment and removal, cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, TUNA, robotics, vasectomies, ureteroscopies, and TURP.

Unit and Practice Details

• Urology Medical Office has 4 patient rooms and 2 procedure rooms.
• Expected inpatient patients per day: 2-3.
• Number of procedures per OR shift: 10-12.
• Number of patients seen per clinic shift: 28-30.
• Locums will be the sole provider with mid-level support (APCs, no RNs).
• Average calls per night: 3-5, varies with patient load and acuity.
• Will handle admits.

Assignment and Scheduling

Schedule includes clinic, inpatient, surgery, rounding, day, night, and weekend calls. Typical week involves 2.5 days in clinic and 2.5 days in OR, with details to be discussed further.

• Multiple locations: No.
• Multiple locums accepted for continuous coverage into 2025.
• In-house call during shifts; night and weekend hotel call, rarely called back to hospital.
