Job description

Job Title: Urology Surgeon
Location: Columbia SC 29209
Duration: 01 Year to Permanent
Shift: Standard Shift (Mon to Fri) 40 Hours/Week

Job Description:

1. Provide care in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility, ensuring the standard of care meets or exceeds the American Association of Urologists' recognized national standards.
2. Deliver onsite care, including clinical coverage, consultation, evaluation, assessment, treatment, and both minor and major surgical procedures.
3. Participate in on-call coverage and callbacks, which are outside the standard 40-hour workweek.
4. Offer consultations to urology patients, available 24/7 including federal holidays, to discuss or examine patients upon request.
5. For inpatient consultations, meet with each new patient, document personal progress notes, and sign the electronic medical record.
6. Manage consultation requests in collaboration with administrative personnel, monitor response times, and address performance or documentation deficiencies.
7. Be available and present in the clinic during established healthcare system hours, which may be revised for optimal patient care by the Chief of Staff.

License and Certification:

1. Hold a current, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. State, Territory, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth when providing onsite services.
2. All personnel must hold full and unrestricted licenses; licenses that are restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily surrendered, or denied are not acceptable.
3. Must be Board Certified in Urology Surgery.
