  • Ability to lift 20 lb and stand/walk 6–8 hours

Responsibilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and compassionate Urology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team. As a Urology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to patients with urological conditions, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, prostate issues, and other urological disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic testing
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical guidelines
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
  • Provide patient education, counseling, and support on disease management, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and efficient patient care
  • Diagnose and treat residents with urology conditions, diseases, and infections
  • Document patient encounters, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, using electronic medical record systems
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
  • Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Physician license
  • DEA License
  • CPR BCLS/BLS certified
  • Must hold a Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Completed a degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • A year of experience in Urology
  • Preferred experience in Documenting EMR (Sigma, Visual, PCC, etc.): training provided
  • Must have great organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and stand / walk / work on your feet up to 6-8 hours per day
