Job summary

St. Elizabeth HealthCare seeks an Urology Nocturnist Advanced Practice Provider to deliver overnight, direct patient care at multiple campus locations, driving between sites as needed. You will diagnose, treat, and manage urologic conditions, order tests, and coordinate with the care team.

Qualifications

• Certification as Physician Assistant, CRNP or APRN.
• Active licensure in Kentucky and Indiana at start of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide overnight, in-person direct patient care at multiple St. Elizabeth campuses.
• Serve as first line of communication with outpatient/inpatient staff and emergency providers.
• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic urologic illnesses.
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
• Perform comprehensive patient examinations.
• Develop and implement patient management policies/procedures.
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals.
• Communicate with primary care and specialists.
• Shifts include weekend and holiday nights.

Urology Nocturnist - Advanced Practice Provider

The Advanced Practice Provider is primarily responsible for providing patient care services, including assessing, diagnosing, prescribing, treating and educating patients. The Advanced Practice Provider works closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team approach to patient care. The Advanced Practice Provider is a highly visible position that is always responsible for creating a positive impression with patients, physicians and other visitors he/she encounters, both in person and on the phone.

Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person direct patient care overnight at St. Elizabeth Edgewood, St. Elizabeth Ft Thomas, St. Elizabeth Florence, and St. Elizabeth Dearborn. This position will include driving between hospital campuses.
• Provide first line of communication with outpatients, inpatient nursing staff, and emergency providers.
• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic, and chronic urologic illnesses.

• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments.
• Perform comprehensive examinations of patients.
