Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Less than 1 year 6 months' experience in ambulatory care required.
• CPR certification within 90 days required; BLS/NRP for healthcare providers.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) within 1 year required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient exams and minor procedures; prepare patients for exams.
• Perform venipuncture, medication and vaccine administration, and vital signs documentation.
• Provide clerical support and back up for the Patient Services Coordinator as needed.
• Document activities in the EMR and coordinate referrals/tests as required.
• Support infection prevention, safety standards, and population health activities.
