Atrium Health Specialty Network, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Urology Kenilworth clinic in Charlotte, NC. This full-time position supports patient care across the department with standard weekday hours (8-5) and a 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities include patient rooming, vitals, medication reconciliation, lab duties, and assisting providers with procedures. Candidates must meet education/certification requirements and maintain competency. Benefits eligible.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent (military training) may be acceptable.
• Certified Medical Assistant program preferred or required depending on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required/obtained within 45 days in some divisions.

Mansioni

• Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies; maintains competency.
• Perform rooming/visit tasks: vitals, history, meds reconciliation, screenings.
• Assist provider with procedures and perform lab duties incl. venipuncture and specimen handling.
• Perform POCT and CLIA-waived tests per standing orders.
• Administer medications and vaccines safely.
• Handle tasks like refills, referrals, scheduling, and insurance authorizations.
