Job summary

Urology Specialists of the Carolinas is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented and focused on patient care, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

You will perform clerical and clinical duties, assist physicians, collect specimens, manage records, and educate patients. We offer a supportive, physician-led environment with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Certified or registered CMA/RMA preferred.
Experience in a medical office or specialty practice (urology preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency with EMR systems.

Responsibilities

Schedules appointments, takes patient histories and records vital signs.
Assist providers during exams; prep rooms, sterilize instruments, explain procedures.
Administers medications and immunizations as directed.
Performs basic lab tests and phlebotomy; prepares specimens for testing.
Performs dressing changes, wound care and suture removals.
Maintains patient medical records and test results.
Educates patients and discusses treatments and preventive care.
Answers, triages and responds to calls and messages promptly.
