Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to join the SMC Urology team at LOC0006 in Weymouth, MA. You will support patient flow and assist with both clinical and administrative tasks to maintain efficient daily operations.

Responsibilities include vital signs, phlebotomy as needed, vaccine administration, rooming patients, and assisting providers with procedures. Strong teamwork and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• BLS - Basic Life Support required.
• CMA - Certified Medical Assistant certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and escorts them to exam rooms.
• Assist with procedures under supervision of the MD/NP/PA; assist with minor procedures and wound care.
• Takes vital signs and documents them.
• Assist administrative team with scheduling, orders, and calls.
• Coordinate room rotations and maintain clean, stocked rooms.
• Communicate critical patient information to the nurse/provider and respond to needs.
