Job summary

South Shore Health System in Kingston, MA is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for the SMC Urology department. You will support patient flow, room patients, take vital signs and perform basic clinical tasks under clinician supervision.

Responsibilities include front desk support, scheduling, charting, referrals, and maintaining clean, stocked exam rooms with attention to safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• BLS certification required; CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and escort to exam rooms in a professional manner.
• Room patients and take vitals under supervision of MD/NP/PA.
• Assist with varied procedures and minor wound care as directed.
• Process referrals, paperwork and schedule appointments; answer phones.
• Maintain patient rooms, stock supplies and assist front desk duties.
• Communicate critical patient information and participate in daily huddles.
