Job summary

Michigan Institute Of Urology is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the delivery of urological services and work as an effective team member in a busy clinic. You will perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the medical offices running smoothly and collaborate with physicians, nursing and staff to achieve excellent patient care.

The role requires scheduling, patient preparation, vital signs, medical history updates, phlebotomy, EKGs and assisting with procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• Experience or willingness to perform phlebotomy, EKGs and basic lab tests.
• Ability to work under supervision and comply with HIPAA and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments with physicians and staff.
• Take patient vitals and record medical history and chief complaints.
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect lab specimens; perform basic lab tests.
• Prepare for seeing patients the following day and confirm next day visits.
• Maintain patient records and consent forms accurately and ethically.
• Ensure back-office workflow, room turnover, and equipment readiness.
