Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant (NM preferred).
• BLS certification required or preferred.
• Experience in medical office and EMR systems advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient information, records vital signs, and documents findings.
• Assists physicians in procedures and ensures tests are scheduled and completed.
• Coordinates patient flow, prepares specimens for testing, and supports medication counts.
• Communicates patients' needs to physicians using appropriate channels.
• Educates patients and families on preventive health options and resources.
• Contributes to community outreach and health education programs.
• Maintains a safe, confidential clinic environment and follows infection control procedures.
• Under supervision, may perform delegated medical acts and maintain competency.
• Maintains accurate, confidential records and ensures supplies are stocked.
• Keeps clinic areas stocked and coordinates orders for supplies.
• Maintains proficiency in clinic-specific skills under supervision.
