Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant to join a collaborative Urology practice at 104 Endicott Street, Danvers, MA.

You will support clinical and non-clinical patient services under healthcare providers, ensuring patients feel welcomed, informed, and cared for while maintaining efficient patient flow. The role involves greeting patients, taking vital signs, preparing rooms and equipment, and documenting medical histories in the EHR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential preferred.
• Direct medical assistant experience or related medical field experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered mindset.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy clinical environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, privacy standards, and confidentiality requirements.
• Comfort using electronic health record systems and medical office software.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, obtain medical information, and measure vital signs, weight, and height.
• Prepare patients, examination rooms, and necessary equipment for healthcare providers.
• Document medical histories, vital statistics, test results, and other patient information in the medical record.
• Support patient scheduling, telephone communication, insurance forms, and other general office responsibilities.
• Serve as a liaison across departments and advocate for patients with a positive, service-oriented approach.
• Collect, log, and prepare blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens for testing.
• Maintain clean, stocked treatment rooms and follow proper cleaning, sterilization, and disposal procedures.
