Job summary

Centers for Advanced Urology in Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical operations. You will greet patients, record histories, take vitals, and assist physicians during exams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience (based on State regulation requirements)
• Minimum 6 months experience in a physician’s office; urology experience desired
• Ability to work well under pressure in a clinical setting
• Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for visits and coordinate appointments.
• Measure and record vital signs and document patient histories accurately.
• Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens; conduct basic lab tests.
• Record EKGs and assist with in-office imaging or therapy procedures.
• Prepare medications under physician supervision and ensure proper documentation.
• Maintain clean and organized patient rooms and accurate patient logs.
• Assist in new patient intake and ensure smooth office workflow.
• Support orientation and training of new staff and ensure proper handoffs.
