Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a Nurse Supervisor who, under direct supervision of physicians, renders nursing care in a physician practice setting and leads ancillary staff.

You will evaluate care, coordinate with the healthcare team and families, maintain vaccine records, perform EKGs and other tests, and participate in quality improvement and credentialing. Location: Providence, RI; Work Type: M-F 8am-5pm; Daily Hours: 8; Driving: No.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• LPN licensure in Rhode Island.
• Experience delivering patient care across life span with cultural awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care under physician supervision.
• Leads and supervises ancillary personnel for safe nursing care.
• Evaluates care effectiveness and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Collaborates with healthcare team, patient, family, and community services.
• Maintains vaccine records as mandated by the State.
• Performs EKGs, pulmonary function tests, Holter monitors and other tests.
• Provides teaching based on patient and family needs.
• Participates in site-based quality improvement and research activities.
• Manages resources to provide quality, cost-effective care.
