Job summary

Salem Health Hospitals & Clinics in Salem, Oregon seeks a full-time Urology Hospitalist to join our urology service. You will provide inpatient consultations, perform urgent and emergent surgical procedures, and support hospital-based urologic care.

Collaboration with physicians, APPs, nurses, and OR teams ensures timely, high-quality patient care. This hospital-based role focuses on coverage with call responsibilities, contributing to continuity of care across the health system.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited program.
• Completion of an accredited urology residency program.
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon or ability to obtain before start.
• Current, unrestricted DEA registration.
• Board Certification in Urology or eligibility within five years of residency/fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient urology consultations and manage hospitalized patients.
• Perform urgent and emergent OR-based urologic procedures.
• Complete outpatient urgent surgical cases as appropriate.
• Participate in after-hours call and inpatient rounding.
• Document care and submit billing promptly.
• Contribute to development of service protocols and guidelines.
• Support growth of the urology referral base through hospital presence.
