Job summary

UCHealth seeks a Medical Assistant in Loveland, CO, supporting Urology and Gynecology clinics. This on-site role handles patient intake, vitals, minor procedures, and specimen handling, under RN or provider supervision.

You’ll perform scheduling, basic lab tasks, injections, medication refills coordination, and help with radiology procedures. A certified Medical Assistant program and BLS are required, with at least 1 year healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: completion of an Accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.
• Minimum Experience: 1 year of healthcare related experience.
• Trained in urological procedures through vocational or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient history and vital signs, explains procedures and documents care.
• Assists with urologic radiographic/ultrasound exams and cystoscopies.
• Performs UDS studies with Provider present and assists with minor surgeries.
• Performs catheter insertions/removals, lab duties, dressing changes.
• Handles prescription refills with Physician; calls in refills to pharmacy.
• Collects/prepares specimens and administers medications/injections per guidelines.
• Sends specimens to labs and communicates abnormal results to providers.
• Cleans/restocks rooms/equipment; transports patients.
