Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer) before start date.
• Minimum 3 years of Medical Assistant experience OR graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
• Assists with patient care under supervision of a provider or nurse.
• Performs basic clinical skills and specimen collection; monitors and communicates changes in patient condition; documents care.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies; stocks, cleans and troubleshoots; maintains examination areas.
• Performs administrative tasks including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
