Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Staff RN for the Urology Clinic on the first shift in Omaha. This 40-hour position runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., focusing on coordinated patient care in a busy specialty clinic.

The role requires strong assessment, collaboration with physicians and teams, and the ability to manage diverse duties from admission to discharge with compassion and accuracy.

Qualifications

• ADN or Nursing Diploma is required.
• Effective communication skills.
• Demonstrate initiative, teamwork and flexibility.
• RN license in Nebraska or compact state.
• BLS certification from an AHA endorsed program (effective for new hires starting Jan 1, 2023 or later).
• PALS certification department dependent.
• For ED, PALS within 6 months of hire or transfer date.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire or transfer date (department dependent).
• TNCC or ATCN within one year of hire or transfer date (department dependent).

Responsibilities

• Provide, prescribe, delegate, and coordinate nursing care with other health care providers to meet holistic care needs of a designated group of patients. The environment of care may be long‑term, emergent, critical, acute, interventional, or procedural driven.
