Job summary

UNC Health's Urology ACC in Chapel Hill, NC, is seeking a Clinical Nurse who provides competent nursing care in a hospital setting. You will be reporting to the Nurse Manager/Director and coordinating patient care using the nursing process.

The role requires NC RN licensure, BLS for Healthcare Providers, and at least one year of nursing experience. The position is full-time, onsite with a 32-hour work week, Monday–Friday days, with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing.
• If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date.

Responsibilities

• Education - Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
• Evaluation of Care - Identifies expected patient outcomes and contributes to care plan evaluation.
• Implementation - Delivers competent care for patients with complex problems and follows policies and procedures.
• Leadership - Supports interdepartmental collaboration and contributes to unit goals and performance improvement.
• Patient Assessment - Recognizes data to determine priorities and planning for discharge needs.
• Planning - Collaborates with patient/family to update the plan of care and uses available resources.
• Research - Reads journals and brings ideas for assessment of applicability.
