Job summary

Sanford Health in Fargo, ND is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) to support patient care in an ambulatory setting at the Sanford Broadway Clinic. You will collect health data, assist with examinations, prepare patients, and communicate care plans under supervision.

The role requires graduation from a recognized MA program, national certification or ND registration compatibility, and BLS certification within six months.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
• Nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant.
• BLS certification required within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collect subjective and objective health data from patients and communicate data to the provider.
• Follow through on the patient’s plan of care under the provider's direction.
• Communicate the provider’s written instructions for care to patient or caregiver.
• Participate in care across the lifespan in preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow-up.
• Obtain vital signs, prepare patients for exams, observe and report signs or symptoms, and perform point of care testing.
