Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Urology clinic. The role focuses on maintaining patient flow and assisting with procedures, collaborating with providers to prepare patients for visits and tests.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification within 90 days, and at least 2 years of medical assistant experience in a Urology setting. An Associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in related field preferred.
• BLS within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• 2 years medical assistant experience in Urology preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant or CBUNA/CUA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient flow within the clinic and assist with procedures.
• Work with patients and providers to work up patients for visits and tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
