Job summary

BHMG Lifespan Physician Group, Inc., d/b/a Brown Health Medical Group is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our urology outpatient care team in Providence, RI. The APP will perform complete evaluations, order labs, and develop treatment plans in collaboration with urologists.

The role includes performing and assisting in TRUS, urodynamics, cystoscopies, PVR evaluations, and other procedures, with on-call duties and emphasis on patient education and care continuum.

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island licensure as a Certified Registered Physician Assistant (CRPA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• Minimum of 2 years acute or ambulatory care experience as Advanced Practice Provider.
• Urology experience preferred.
• Current DEA licensure.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Desire to learn and work in Urology.
• Interest in continuous learning and willingness to work across several Urologic subspecialties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs complete evaluations on patients.
• Orders and interprets labs, x-ray and special studies.
• Develops a treatment plan for urological conditions with the urologist.
• Provides follow-up care and postoperative visits.
• Assists in office procedures (TRUS volume studies, urodynamics, cystoscopies, PVRs, difficult catheterizations).
• Performs on-call duties for urology.
• Collaborates with supervising surgeon and care team.
• Manages databases and performs quality assurance.
