Position: 1 Staff Urologist & Chief of Urology

Location: Fayetteville, NC

About the Role: The Fayetteville Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Staff Urologist & Chief of Urology to become part of our esteemed Urology team. In this role, you will provide exceptional care for our nation’s Veterans by carrying out routine inpatient and outpatient procedures such as prostate biopsies, cystoscopies, and TURPs. As the Chief of Urology, you will also be responsible for ensuring the delivery of comprehensive urologic services, overseeing the administrative needs of urologic patients, and working collaboratively within our surgical department.

Department Staffing:

• 1 Section Chief
• 2 Staff Urologists
• 1 Physician Assistant

Candidate Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen
• Board Certified in Urology

About the Fayetteville VA Medical Center: Our center provides healthcare services to approximately 80,000 Veterans across 19 counties in southeastern North Carolina. Our facilities include:

• Fayetteville VA Medical Center
• Two health care centers (Fayetteville and Wilmington)
• 18 outpatient clinics

Work Schedule:

• Full-time
• Primarily day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with some call

Benefits:

Sign-on Bonus: Available to highly qualified candidates

Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment):

• Eligible for up to $200,000 over 5 years (maximum $40K per year)

Paid Time Off:

• 50-55 days of annual paid time off per year (including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and possible 5-day paid absence for CME)

Retirement:

• Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting)
• Federal 401K with up to 5% contribution by VA
