LocumTenens.com is seeking a urologist for a day shift with 24-hour call at an on-site facility in New Jersey, offering a locum tenens assignment through ongoing into 2027.
You will deliver full-scope urology across inpatient, clinic, and operating room settings, with APPs handling first call and credentialing 5–6 weeks; NY license or IMLC required.
This facility operates with fewer than 300 beds and does not hold a trauma center designation, providing full scope urological services across clinic and surgical settings. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and administrative support systems to facilitate effective urological care coordination throughout the assignment. Appropriate resources are in place to support clinicians managing urological cases on-site.
The region offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of cultural and recreational attractions. Notable destinations include the Erie Canal Museum, the Rosamond Gifford Zoo, and the Everson Museum of Art. An 8-mile linear greenway along Onondaga Lake features walking trails, a skatepark, and waterfront amenities, and a 17,500-seat outdoor amphitheater is also available. Nearby destinations such as Cooperstown, the Finger Lakes, and the Thousand Islands expand the region's appeal for history, nature, and outdoor recreation during time away from clinical duties.
This locum tenens assignment requires a urologist to provide full scope urological coverage across inpatient, clinic, and operating room settings on a day shift schedule with 24-hour call responsibilities at an on-site facility. Clinicians will manage 30-40 patients per day in the clinic setting, perform rounding, and cover surgical cases in the OR. APPs are available and take first call; the urologist will manage cases escalated beyond APP scope. Board certification or board eligibility in Urology is required for consideration, and an active NY license or IMLC must be held; the estimated credentialing timeframe is 5-6 weeks.
