Experience in general urology conditions, including Men's health, is preferred - fellowship not required.

Position Overview

Henry Ford Health (HFH), in southeast Michigan, is seeking a board eligible/certified Urologist to join an expanding practice as a member of the Department of Urology, Vattikuti Urology Institute. The position offers a competitive salary with incentives based on productivity.

Institutional Context

HFHS is an academic institution with teaching and research opportunities at its main hospital in Detroit and 30 outpatient centers. As a member of the 1,200-person Henry Ford Medical Group, you will collaborate with colleagues across 40 specialties and share patients via the electronic medical record. Join a dedicated team practicing with excellent practice management systems, supported by a large, prestigious health system.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide clinical care within general urology, primarily at Henry Ford Lakeside Medical Center and Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, with potential involvement in other Henry Ford facilities.
  2. Maintain a robust surgical practice at these centers.
  3. Dedicate approximately 4.5 days per week to clinical activities, with 0.5 days for academic or administrative duties.
Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate must be an MD/DO (or equivalent) who is board eligible/certified by the American Board of Urology. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and patient care is essential.

Additional Practice Details
  • Shared call rotation at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital with support from the group, including resident coverage.
  • Six exam rooms.
  • Support staff includes 1 clinic Advanced Practice Professional (APP), resident coverage, 1 inpatient APP for consults, 3 full-time MAs, and 2 full-time RNs.
  • Office equipment and procedures include disposable cystoscopies, intravesical therapies, vasectomies, Uroflow procedures, Urodynamic studies, prostate biopsies, incontinence management, and erectile dysfunction treatments.
  • Consultation primarily at one hospital.
