Job summary

The Urology position at the Sioux Falls VA Medical Center is a full-time role within the Surgery/Specialty Care Service. The physician will perform a range of urologic procedures in inpatient and outpatient settings and provide comprehensive care for Veterans.

Applicants must hold an MD/DO with a current U.S. medical license, be board-eligible/certified, and have completed appropriate residency training. The position emphasizes a whole-health approach and collaboration with the VA network.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent degree in allopathic/osteopathic medicine.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in the U.S. or D.C.
• Residency training in a core specialty with board eligibility/certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic urologic procedures (eg, cystoscopy, ultrasound-guided biopsy, TURP).
• Evaluate and treat patients with urologic disorders.
• Respond to calls, inform patients of results, renew medications, and provide advice.
• Document care in the EHR with complete progress notes.
• Maintain and calibrate specialized urologic equipment.
• Support VA mission and patient-centered care.
