Job summary

Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System in Montgomery, AL is seeking a full-time Board Certified/Board Eligible Urologist to perform a full range of urologic evaluations. The role includes off-hour shifts and weekend/holiday call as needed.

Requirements include MD/DO from an approved school, U.S. medical license, and ABMS/AOBIM board status or eligibility, plus fluency in English. Salary up to $295,000 annually with comprehensive VA benefits.

Qualifications

• Citizenship requirement: U.S. Citizenship; non-citizens only if recruitment of qualified citizens is not possible.
• MD or DO degree from schools approved by VA/State licensure bodies.
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in a U.S. state or D.C.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Urology Board certification or eligibility by ABMS or AOBIM.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of urologic evaluations.
• Handle procedures within scope and facility capabilities (e.g., prostate biopsy, TURP, stenting, vasectomy, TUR, bladder neck/tumor).
• Stay current on diagnostic and treatment options relevant to urology.
• Work rotating shifts including off-hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
