Job summary

Inova Health System seeks a skilled Urogynecology APP to join our growing team in Virginia. This full-time position offers relocation assistance and supports outpatient clinical care across multiple locations.

The role collaborates with six urogynecologists and three APPs, handling pelvic exams and in-office procedures to improve women’s health and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or NP-equivalent education.
• Post-masters certificate for NP with required accreditation.
• Licensed/eligible as NP with RN license and state scope of practice agreement (Virginia).
• Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient gynecology/urogynecology clinical care.
• Perform pelvic examinations and assist with in-office procedures.
• Collaborate with pediatric neurologists and multidisciplinary team.
• Document encounters accurately and comply with regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.

Urogynecology APP Job Responsibilities:

• Join a collaborative team of 6 Urogynecologists and 3 Advanced Practice Providers across four locations (Fair Oaks, Loudoun, Oakville, and Willow Oaks)
• Outpatient clinical care
• Conditions treated by Inova Urogynecology:
  • Urinary incontinence
  • Overactive bladder
  • Stress incontinence
  • Voiding dysfunction
  • Pelvic organ prolapse
  • Defecatory dysfunction
  • Fecal incontinence
  • Constipation
• Perform pelvic examinations
• Perform or assist with in-office procedures
• Collaborate with pediatric neurologists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive, family-centered care.
• Document clinical encounters accurately and maintain compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, continuing education, and professional development activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post masters certificate program for nurse practitioners, OR certificate from an education program that is accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs/Schools, American College of Nurse Midwives, American Association of Colleges of Nursing of the National League for Nursing. For physician Assistants, graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• Experience: No experience required.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) upon start
• Licensure: Licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner; If Nurse Practitioner: RN Compact License(depending on State of primary residence) AND a license (or eligibility for) as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant in the Commonwealth of Virginia AND a "Practice Agreement" signed by sponsoring/ supervising physician(s), AND a written "Scope of Practice/Protocol" signed by the supervising physician, AND "Drug Enforcement Administration License" (if prescribing controlled substances)
• Payor Credentialing: Ability to successfully complete the credentialing process by third-party payors and Ability to enrolled as a CMS Medicare/Medicaid payor
• Medical Staff Credentialing: Successful completion of credentialing for Medical Staff membership and appropriate clinical privileges sufficient to perform all required services

Preferred Qualification:

• 1+ years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in Urogynecology
