Nationwide-Children is seeking a part-time registered nurse to assist with urology procedures and patient education, including circumcisions, catheterization teaching, enema teaching, and bladder irrigation.

The role requires a BSN or an associate degree with a commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years, Ohio RN licensure, and current CPR certification. Additional certifications such as NRP, PALS, ACLS or APHON may be required by management.

Qualifications

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
  • Current CPR certification; willing to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other required certifications as determined by management.

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
  • Assesses individualized patient needs and coordinates care.
  • Communicates patient care needs and priorities to LPNs, PCAs, unit coordinators and allied health staff.
  • Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
  • Maintains accurate documentation according to organizational standards.

Overview:This position is to assist with urology procedures such as circumcisions, clean intermittent catheterization teachings, enema teaching, urodynamics, biofeedback therapy, PTNS therapy, nighttime bladder emptying teaching, and bladder irrigation teachings.Part-time, 24 hours per week. Clinic hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm.Benefits eligible.Job Description Summary:Assists patients to move rapidly, uneventfully, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care while maintaining quality and safety as a priority. Delegates, directs, oversees and provides developmentally appropriate patient care. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and maintains a current Ohio Nursing License.Job Description:Essential Functions:Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.Assesses individualized patient needs.
