Job summary

UrgentVet in Mesa, AZ is seeking compassionate veterinarians for after-hours care focusing on canine and feline urgent cases. The role emphasizes relationship-based patient care, collaboration with a strong clinical team, and community engagement in the Phoenix area.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from AVMA-accredited college.
• Current license to practice in the state or ability to obtain it.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Phoenix community.
• Encourage the growth of support staff through our internal LevelUp training program.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during our open hours.

Job description

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Mesa, AZ area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
