Job Description

Responsible for contributing to the RF Design of the regional LTE network.

Responsibilities include: creating search areas within the geographic region; collaborating with the performance team to understand regional issues; working with System Performance team to reduce Lost Calls and Ineffective Attempts.

Additional responsibilities: creating and supplying cell site translations; performing drive testing; preparing FCC/FAA and FAS submissions; conducting radio engineering evaluations for system planning and site acquisition; identifying location-specific needs for new cells considering baseline, performance, capacity, and population; evaluating coverage problems and requirements.

Qualifications: BS in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience in cellular or telecommunications industry.

Knowledge & Skills

• RF theory and practice, LTE/VoLTE Technology
• Design & Optimization of Ericsson LTE/VoLTE platform
• Propagation modeling software such as Atoll, iBwave
• Computer applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, MapInfo, MySQL
• Understanding of engineering concepts, aptitude for learning, 3-7 years of experience. Programming background is a plus.
