Actalent is seeking a Lab Technician for an onsite role in Lima, OH. The position supports microbiology lab operations, maintaining equipment, supplies, and storage areas while following QA programs and SOPs.

You will perform QA assignments, prepare samples using various methods, record results, and maintain bench sheets and lab logs. This contract role offers hands-on microbial testing experience and exposure to a large national company.

Qualificações

• BS in Science Related field required or equivalent.
• Prior lab experience preferred.
• Experience with weighing samples and basic math skills is advantageous.

Job Description

The primary role of a Lab Technician is to support laboratory operations by maintaining the laboratory and supply storage areas, equipment, instruments, and supplies. The technician is expected to utilize general laboratory methods, techniques, equipment, and instrumentation in compliance with quality assurance programs and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve samples for analysis.
• Perform Quality Assurance assignments, including reading and recording temperatures, balance calibration verifications, and safety assignments.
• Prepare samples through various methods, such as aliquoting, spiking, tracing, reagent preparation, bottle preparation, shelf stocking, performing dilutions, weighing samples, and conducting basic Wet Chemistry tests.
• Resolve discrepancies and anomalies to ensure proper sample labeling.
• Prepare general laboratory paperwork, including recording analysis results, tracking samples, maintaining bench sheets, and updating lab logbooks.
• Wash lab glassware in preparation for the next day's samples.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Lima, OH.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
