Job summary

Bambini Montessori Academy in Gambrills, MD is urgently hiring caring Infant & Toddler Teachers for a part-time, on-site role. You’ll nurture children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, create a safe, engaging environment, and support daily routines while fostering early development.

We offer competitive hourly pay of $17–$22, paid holidays after 90 days, PTO, health benefits, and ongoing professional development to help you grow as an early childhood educator.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 45-hour Child Growth & Development certification.
• 45-hour Infant/Toddler certification.
• At least one year of experience in a licensed childcare center or 30 college credits.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and participate in classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide loving care in a safe, clean, nurturing classroom for infants and toddlers.
• Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities supporting developmental growth.
• Encourage exploration with engaging learning experiences.
• Maintain safety and follow health, hygiene, and childcare procedures.
• Build positive relationships with families, coworkers, and leadership.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, rest, and daily routines.
• Collaborate with educators to maintain an organized, high-quality classroom.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and best practices in early childhood education.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS AN INFANT & TODDLER TEACHER

Make every day meaningful by helping our youngest learners feel safe, loved, and ready to discover the world around them.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide Loving Care: Create a safe, clean, nurturing, and welcoming classroom environment for infants and toddlers.
• Support Early Development: Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities that encourage children's cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth.
• Encourage Exploration: Introduce engaging learning experiences that promote curiosity, independence, creativity, and discovery.
• Maintain Children's Safety: Supervise children closely and follow classroom safety, health, hygiene, and childcare procedures.
• Build Positive Relationships: Communicate respectfully and professionally with families, coworkers, and school leadership.
• Support Daily Routines: Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting as appropriate, rest periods, and other daily care needs.
• Work as a Team: Collaborate with fellow educators to maintain an organized classroom and provide consistent, high-quality care.
• Continue Learning: Participate in professional development and apply best practices in early childhood education.

QUALIFICATIONS: WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• At least one (1) year of experience in a licensed childcare center OR 30 college credits
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of child development and age-appropriate learning practices

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and actively participate in classroom activities

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
