Lead Preschool Teacher positions are available in General Day Care, Head Start, 3K, and UPK classrooms.

The Lead Teacher is expected to engage in ongoing learning to deepen understanding of child development and to promote the organization’s vision for quality early childhood services.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Structure a learning environment that promotes child health and safety
• Plan and lead developmentally appropriate classroom instruction that meets children’s needs
• Actively engage with families to ensure they are informed about their child's program
• Implement a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, including transitions and age-appropriate activities
• Create a safe, warm, and nurturing environment conducive to learning
• Support the implementation of behavior plans and/or IFSP/IEP goals, as appropriate

Essential Qualifications (Must Have at Least One):

• NYS Teaching Certification B-2 or equivalent
• BA in ECE (Early Childhood Education) and currently pursuing MA/Teacher certification (Study Plan Eligible)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
